O EP Coma parte da metáfora do estado físico do coma para refletir sobre a sensação de estar “adormecido” em ciclos, rotinas e hábitos que aprisionam a mente — a chamada cela mental.

Ao longo de cinco faixas, o trabalho constrói uma narrativa que acompanha o despertar e um personagem em busca de liberdade interior.

A jornada começa com a faixa-título Coma, uma introdução instrumental marcada por ruídos representando a retomada da consciência. Em seguida, Born Again (In Silence) traz à tona as memórias e o reconhecimento da necessidade de não mais viver preso às frustrações e medos. The Voice That Betrays expõe o conflito interno entre a voz que inspira e a que paralisa. Já em No More Chains, surge a coragem de romper padrões e conquistar a liberdade. O encerramento chega com Silence, interlúdio que revisita lembranças mas abre espaço para o renascimento e a aceitação de um novo eu.

Sonoramente, o EP transita pelo metal alternativo com influências de Groove Metal, experimental, mesclando texturas atmosféricas, guitarras intensas e nuances melancólicas. A estética combina peso e delicadeza, sempre buscando transmitir a vulnerabilidade e a superação que atravessam a narrativa.

Produzido inteiramente por Rafa Farias em home studio, o EP carrega a essência do faça você mesmo. O baixo foi construído a partir de um oitavador usando a guitarra e plugins de pré-amp, moldando timbres únicos. A bateria contou com a colaboração de JP, parceiro de antigas bandas, que ajudou a lapidar os arranjos.

The EP Coma draws from the metaphor of the physical state of coma to reflect on the feeling of being “asleep” in cycles, routines, and habits that imprison the mind — the so-called mental cell.

Across five tracks, the work builds a narrative that follows an awakening and a character’s search for inner freedom.

The journey begins with the title track Coma, an instrumental introduction marked by noises representing the return of consciousness. Next, Born Again (In Silence) brings forth memories and the realization of the need to no longer live trapped by frustrations and fears. The Voice That Betrays exposes the internal conflict between the voice that inspires and the one that paralyzes. In No More Chains, the courage emerges to break patterns and embrace freedom. The journey closes with Silence, an interlude that revisits memories while opening space for rebirth and the acceptance of a new self.

Sonically, the EP moves through alternative rock with influences of Groove Metal and experimental elements, blending atmospheric textures, intense guitars, and melancholic nuances. The aesthetic balances heaviness and delicacy, always aiming to convey the vulnerability and overcoming that permeate the narrative.

Entirely produced by Rafa Farias in a home studio, the EP carries the essence of do-it-yourself. The bass was crafted from an octaver using the guitar and preamp plugins, shaping unique tones. The drums feature the collaboration of JP, a longtime bandmate, who helped refine the arrangements.
